Established in 1971, Burke’s was created when Frank Burke, a Galway local, invested in his own truck and began distributing fresh fruit and vegetables to local shops and hotels in Galway.
Frank’s vision was to supply local businesses with high quality, affordable, fresh produce whilst creating long lasting relationships with his customers.
In 2005 Frank’s eldest son Niall took over the family business, they began growing their own speciality produce taking the company in a new direction ensuring its longevity and diversity.
We source all of fresh fruit and vegetables from Burke’s for our cafes on the NUI Galway campus. They deliver to us every day to ensure they give us the best quality produce to use in our fresh menu offers every day.
