Our commitment to local is a real one, with a promise to source all fresh produce within 50 miles of every individual location. And you can’t get more local than on-site like the team at the College of Creative Arts & Media in Galway.

In March, our chef manager Patrick Loewen, and the team spent the weekend building the first planter – a three-hour job, which will be used to grow herbs and vegetables. Given the nature of the college, the team tried really hard to make the planter blend in seamlessly, keeping a strong emphasis on the art and design of it.  So impressed by the finished product, some of the students are interested in helping to build the next ones. And so Patrick is now organising a plant box work shop so that the students can get involved in building at least half dozen in one day.
