Pickled Radishes

  • 1 bunch radishes,
  • 1/2 cup white or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  1. Slice off the tops and bottoms of the radishes, then use a very sharp knife (or mandolin) to slice them.
  2. Place the slices in a hot, sterilised jar.
  3. Bring vinegar, sugar, water, salt and spices to a boil in the saucepan.
  4. Pour the mixture over the radishes wipe rim. and close the jar.
  5. Let it cool to room temperature.
  6. This pickles will keep well in the refrigerator, for up to 4 months.
